Bertha L. Spaiser. Age 88 of Jackson.
Bertha Lucille Spaiser (Devio) passed from her earthly home to her Heavenly home on Friday, May 7, 2021, 7:43 am at Victorian Villa Assisted Living in Jackson, Michigan. Bertha was born on June 2, 1932 in Ecorse, Michigan to Frank and Lena Devio. Bertha Lucille Devio became Bertha Spaiser on February 23, 1951, when she married the love of her life, Frank Spaiser, Jr. Frank preceded her in death at the age of 78 in April 2007. Frank and Bertha raised four children together in Wyandotte, Michigan. Their children include Frank Richard Spaiser, Victoria Lynn Jones, Angela (John) Crisman, and the late Dennis Allen Spaiser. Bertha’s grandchildren include Leslie (Tim) Fox and their children Blake Rusnak, and Keegan, Noah, Eli, and Kali Stein; Lisa (Nick) Dudek; Jacob (Lynsey) Rye and their son Declan; Anthony (Justine) Rollins and sons Parker and Hudson; Richard (Brooke) Spaiser and their sons Kingsten, Maddox, and Gage; Jamie (Kelly) Rye and their children Jonah and Jane; Elizabeth (Donald) Askew and their children Alaina Wade and Bryson and Nevaeh Askew; Jordan (Rachel) Crisman and their son Jackson.
Bertha was one of twelve siblings of the blended Devio/Krueger Family. She was preceded in death by her Devio siblings: Rita (J.D.) Bailey, Roland (Doloris) Devio, and Frank Devio, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her Krueger siblings: Emerson “Jim” (Gloria) Krueger, Mary (Floyd) Halstead, Dorothy (Harold) Buxton, Helen (Ken) Griffin, and Theresa (Harold) Barks. Siblings remaining in this life: Ruth (the late Robert) Krueger-Vallie, Henry (Carolyn) Krueger, and Carl (Dianne) Krueger.
Bertha was a shining light to everyone she encountered. She had a beautiful smile and giving heart, and she loved her family deeply! We'll all miss her very much!
