Continuing the H.F. Thon and Burd families’ legacy of serving the community, our Thon Location offers a welcoming and comfortable setting. Situated in beautiful downtown Wyandotte, this location is unique in that it accommodates only one family at a time. It provides a modern experience while preserving the historical integrity of its architecture.

By offering a wide variety of service and merchandise options, we strive to meet each family’s needs with care and respect.

Our experienced graphic designers are dedicated to helping families create personalized, meaningful tributes. We encourage families to customize visitation rooms with photo boards, memory tables, or items that share their loved one’s story. Distinctive offerings such as custom casket panels, bagpipers, dove releases, military honors, unique floral arrangements, personalized memorial printing, and keepsakes are also available.

The Thon Center is one of the few funeral homes in our community that is dedicated to serving one family at a time.

RECEPTION AREA

The Thon Center has a reception area where we are able to have luncheons immediately following funeral services, making it easy and convenient for your family. We provide our families with coffee, tea, microwave, refrigerator usage, and ample counter space to arrange beverages and snacks for your family and friends.

GRAPHIC DESIGN CENTER ON-SITE

Our graphic designers have a passion for helping families create a unique, personalized and meaningful service that honors your loved one's life.

We offer complimentary WiFi throughout the funeral homes. Each chapel is equipped with large flat screen televisions and state-of-the-art DVD and music systems to help families honor their loved one through video tributes and/or special musical selections. Our buildings are handicap accessible with all of our chapels and lounges located on the first floor. The parking lot is well lit and offers ample spaces for all of your guests. Additionally, if you choose to have a reception on-site, we will assist with catering options, whether it be our caterer or one of your choice. Our catering choices include a variety of options including anything from simple hor d'ourves to a complete meal selection.
