FAMILY TRIBUTE
Mr. Joseph George, beloved father, brother and friend, died Tuesday, December 30. He is survived by his son Joseph, daughter Michele, grandchildren Gavin and Emily, and siblings Thomas, Patrick, and Mary Ann.
Joe had a "wonderful life." He was a born leader and natural athlete with a beautiful and compassionate soul. In high school he excelled in all sports and was a class officer. Joe was a graduate of the University of Dayton and later the University of Michigan Banking School. His leadership abilities and genuine concern for others was demonstrated throughout his career with the National Bank of Detroit where he retired as a Senior Executive. Joe was always viewed as a "people manager" who cared about every person who worked for him.
Joe's love for sports translated into a love of golf and University of Michigan football. He loved golf outings with his friends and was a season ticket holder for U of M games for over 30 years. Joe cherished every memory of time shared with those he loved.
Lastly, he will be remembered as a wonderful older brother who always took care of his siblings. His children and grandchildren have the blessing of a father and grandfather who loved, provided and protected them always.
