Catherine M. Auelua. Age 57 of Southgate.
Beloved wife of Lai Auelua. Loving mother of Tony (Katie) Pagaduan and Angelina Auelua. Dearest grandmother of Blair Pagaduan. Dear sister of John Tacolla, Julia DeRoche, Nick (Julie) Tacolla and Tony (Melissa) Tacolla. Also survived by her cat Twix and many nieces and nephews.
The day she left
We watched her suffering, day by day;
It caused us bitter grief;
To see her slowly pine away;
And could not give relief.
Her weary hours and days of pain;
Her troubled nights are past;
And in our aching hearts we know;
She has found sweet rest at last.
'Tis sweet to know we will meet again;
Where parting is no more;
And my dear wife I loved so well;
He counts the tears I shed;
And whispers, "hush, she only sleeps;
Your wife is not dead."
Some day, some time, my years shall see;
The face I loved so well.
Some day, some time, her hand ill clasp;
And never say farewell
The pearly gates were opened;
A gentle voice said "come, "
And with farewells unspoken;
She gently entered home.
Her smiling way and pleasant face;
Are a pleasure to recall;
She had a kindly word for each;
And died beloved by all.
Some day we hope to meet her;
Some day we know not when;
To clasp her hand in the better land,
Never to part again.
