Obituary of Eleftherios E. Paravas

July 25, 1944 – October 6, 2019

Eleftherios E. Paravas.  Age 75 of Woodhaven.     

Beloved husband of Anastasia Paravas.  Loving father of Emmanuel (Wendy) Paravas, Mario Paravas and Anna (David) Cruz.  Dearest grandfather of Alexis Paravas, Tessia Paravas, Elyana Cruz, Mallori Paravas, Jacob Paravas and Apollo Cruz.  Dear brother of George Paravas, Marika Korfianakis and Stella Gavrilaki. 

Family Tribute

Our loving, caring, sweet, funny and kind father passed away Sunday morning (Oct. 6, 2019).  His kids, along with our entire family are absolutely heartbroken. There are so many of you who have lost a loved one that have offered us advice and have shared your stories with us. Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out with words of encouragement and kind thoughts and prayers. Although our hearts are broken now, and we imagine it will be for quite some time, family and friends are the building blocks we will use to put our shattered pieces together again. 

The angels were crying (as man was attempting to keep you on earth), but when you arrived in heaven the sadness was over as the sky parted and you shined your light on us all. We will never forget you. We were blessed to have a father like you, we will never let you go. You were so loved by so many. Paravas, Eleftherios was the kindest, most caring soft soul you would ever meet, and so special in many ways. He suffered for many years and never complained once. Rest easy now "baba".  Your memory will be eternal. Say yasoo to Papou Mano and Yiayia Angela, you are finally together again. One thing that makes us all happy, is you are no longer in pain and you are with our Lord and Savior.   

Paravas, Eleftherios was his name and he let you know it.
