She graduated from Nursing School at Henry Ford College and pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Detroit and had a fulfilling career as a nurse for many years. She was the proud mother of 5 girls, Nora (Devin) Ezop, Molly (Philip) Turnwald, Margaret (John) Fitzgerald, Bridget, and Jamie. Marcia and James enjoyed taking their family on trips to their cabin in Rose City, attending Mass together, and witnessing their family grow. Marcia was a loving and thoughtful sister to Peggy (Mike) Jernigan, Thomas (Janet) Burns, Norman (Jadwiga) Burns, Daniel (Ewa) Burns, Shirley (Jon) Kintner, and Maureen (Don) Whitton.
Marcia loved her in-laws, Mary and John (deceased) Reidy, John Patrick (Lorraine) Reidy, Richard (Erin) Reidy, Molly (Patrick) Mech, Timothy (deceased) Reidy, Michael Reidy, Charles (Pamela) Reidy, Joseph (Mary Jane) Reidy, and Eileen (David) Ellis.
