Family Tribute
Carole graduated from Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte in 1960. She was married in January of 1967 to Otto. They took a three-month honeymoon to Italy, where they visited family and lots of sites. Carole was a stay at home mom where she raised three children, Angela, Sam, and Lisa. She also took care of the garden and the yard during the summer months. She took care of the books for Otto’s business, DiSanto Bros. Cement. In her early years, she was active in the church at St. Alfred in Taylor. She helped the ladies auxiliary make the new monthly banners for the altar and she also made desserts for the funerals that were held in the church hall at St. Alfred.
In Carole’s spare time she could be found, crocheting, quilting, and sometimes painting or drawing. In the 1980’s she was heavily involved in locating her classmates for their 25th class reunion and again relocating classmates in the 1990s for the 50th class reunion. She continued with the reunion committee obligations until the last few years of her life. In the early 1990’s she became heavily involved in genealogy research, not only of her family but also of researching cemeteries to help others find their loved ones. She continued this research up until the first week of June. She was kind, loving and caring to her family and all that she met.
