Obituary of Melvin Richard Proxmire
April 30, 1939 – March 24, 2019
Melvin R. Proxmire. Age 79 of Wyandotte.
Beloved life partner of the late Robert Wilson. Loving brother of Mahlon (Miriam) Proxmire, Kenneth Proxmire, Michael (Lois) Proxmire and Susan Schrieber. Dearest uncle of many nieces and nephews. Also survived by many close friends. Preceded in death by brother Marvin Proxmire.
While serving the U.S. Army, Melvin achieved the rank of Sergeant while serving in Vietnam. He worked for the telephone company for over 33 years. Melvin was an avid stain glass hobbyist for many years, creating many projects and gifts that were given from the heart.
