Obituary of David Charles Woodward
August 15, 1937 – November 25, 2018
David C. Woodward. Age 81 of Woodhaven.
Beloved husband of Antoinette Woodward for 49 years, David passed at Seasons Hospice at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. David is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Alice (nee Armstrong) Woodward of Wyandotte and his brothers Thomas (Claudette) Woodward and James (Joan) Woodward.
David graduated from Roosevelt High School in January of 1956. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the 1960’s. He received degrees from Wayne County Community College, Loyola University and Detroit Edison Pipefitter Mechanic Trades School.
Detroit Edison employed David for 32 years, working at many power plants as a Pipefitter Mechanic. He was a creative artist whose passions included drawing, painting and gardening.
David is survived by 3 children, Jennifer (Brian) Flogaus of Canton, Sarah (Steve) Riley of Flat Rock and David J. Woodward of Woodhaven. Also surviving him are 5 grandchildren, whom he was very proud of, Ben and Natalie Flogaus, Anderson, Grant and Miles Riley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions are appreciated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
