Obituary of Elizabeth Anne Creek

January 31, 1959 – October 5, 2018

Elizabeth A. Creek.  Age 59 of Lincoln Park.

Beloved wife of Joe Creek. Loving mother of Monica Rios, Frank Rios, Nicole (J.C.) Ettien, Joseph Creek (Lindsey Westfall), Amante Creek and James Creek. Dearest grandmother of Sean, Ryan, Amante II and Theo James. Dear sister of Charles (Barbara) Borg, David (Wanda) Borg, Joseph Borg, Kenneth Borg and Rachel “Mary” Borg. Beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Liz was born and raised in southwest Detroit, and graduated from Holy Redeemer High School. She was devoted to God and attended church regularly. She had a heartwarming smile and a sweet, contagious laugh. Liz was very friendly and welcoming to everyone, and she especially enjoyed cooking and baking for others. She was very fond of old houses, like her home on Cicotte, with its hardwood floors and wooden bannisters.  Liz really loved the water and relished being out in the sun.  She loved to relax on a float, swim, and go out on the boat. Liz was elegant and kind and beautiful, both inside and out. Liz cherished her family. She was devoted to her loving parents Amante Borg and Helen Castles Borg, caring for them both tirelessly in their later years.  She will be laid to rest beside them, according to her wishes.
