FAMILY TRIBUTE
Argie N. Morris, [Nell], of Lincoln Park, Michigan, passed peacefully into Eternal Life on Tuesday, August 28, 2018. Beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, she is survived by her husband Ray, her son Greg (Mary), and two grandchildren, Christopher and Maryssa. Loving sister of J.B (the late Charlene) Smith of Wisconsin, the late Maggie (Jones) Lineberry of Tennessee, and D.L. Smith of Missouri. She will be greatly missed by nieces and nephews Darlene (Clyde) Carroll, Chris Smith, Michael (Becky) Smith, Elizabeth (Paul) Albers, and Morianne (Scott) Rockwell, and numerous great nieces and nephews as well.
Born to Grady and Mildred Smith in a small rural community outside on Linden Tennessee in 1932, Nell moved to Detroit upon her high school graduation. She spent thirty-one years at the Chrysler Corporation at different assembly plants, both in the office and on the line. Accomplished in cooking and baking, she lovingly prepared many meals and favorite desserts for her family. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and serving on multiple committees at Glenwood Methodist Church and later volunteering at First United Methodist Church of Wyandotte. She will be remembered for her patience, loyalty, ability to listen to others, her warm smile and optimistic outlook, and putting the needs of others before herself. To her family, she was a guardian angel, vigilantly watching over each of those she loved. Her generosity of time, talents, and resources was exemplary. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, especially roses, while remaining very active.
Remembrances may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Wyandotte, 72 Oak Street, Wyandotte, Michigan 48192.
