Obituary of Lynnette C. Walton

March 4, 1964 - July 21, 2024

Lynnette Carol Walton of Lincoln Park Michigan left our arms for the Lord’s arms Sunday July 21st at her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was 60 years old.

She was born on March 4th, 1964, to William and Carol Lambert of Taylor Michigan. Lynnette was a loving mother to 3 sons and their wives, Joshua and Heather Motzer of Cabot Arkansas, Jeremy and Sarah Motzer of Taylor Michigan and Jacob Walton of Taylor Michigan. She was a proud Nana to 8 grandchildren, MaKenna Nichole, Lana Marie, Makayah Lynn, Brenden Eric, Katee Mattison, Jase Matthew, Jaxon Maverick, Olivia Nova and 1 great grandson Brooks Everette. She was also a fur mom to her beloved dachshund, Lucy. Lynnette was a long-time best friend to Donna James (and family) and Andrea Johnson Meeker. She was a loving Daughter, Aunt, cousin and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Carol, Maternal and Paternal grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and her cousin/ partner in crime Barbie Leitch.

Lynnette worked at Beaumont hospital until her retirement in 2022. She enjoyed working in her yard. Lynnette’s yard was second to none. She had the prettiest yard on the block. Her flowers stayed beautiful and full all summer long. If you asked her how she kept her flowers so healthy and pretty, she would laugh and then tell you it was because her flowers were fake. They were indeed fake flowers but the prettiest realistic flowers you’ve ever seen. Lynnette loved to

decorate for holidays, but Christmas was her favorite holiday. She had totes upon totes full of Christmas decorations. Listening to Christmas music and baking Christmas cookies with her family was a yearly tradition. Lynnette loved to go camping with her family where they enjoyed many games of Spoons. It will be known that she was a fanatic cheater at that game.

Lynnette had a laugh that will never be forgotten. She had many strengths and talents. Sadly, singing was not one of them. That never stopped her from serenading her children and grandchildren with the song: Raise and Shine, give God the glory; a memory that they will forever cherish.

Lynnette will be deeply missed. There will always be a piece of her family’s heart that is missing without her here. They have comfort knowing she is in heaven with her parents and her long-time battle with Diabetes and kidney disease is now over. Her body is whole again, she’s walking the streets of gold and enjoying her slushy machine in her mansion in the sky.

Lynnette will be cremated and laid to rest at Michigan Memorial Park with her parents. She will not have a service but will have a celebration of life at a later date as per her wishes.
