Barbara (Barb) Jean Bias was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who passed away peacefully at her home in Southgate, May 1, 2024.
She was born to Samuel and Erma (Robinson) Headrick on February 5, 1937 in Knoxville,Tennessee. As a young woman Barbara joined the Marine Corps where she met the love of her life, Lee. They moved to Michigan where they raised their three sons Duane (Rhonda), Kevin (Tammy) and Joel (Amanda). Barb loved to spend time with her grandchildren Shelbi (Dominic) Ruffino, Cory (Jennifer) Bias, Casey (Jeff) Schnackel, Peyton (Dustin Warnick) Bias and Ryan Bias. She cherished finally becoming a great-grandmother to Owen Bias.
Preceded in death by her husband Leroy Bias; parents Samuel and Erma (Robinson) Headrick; son Kevin Bias; and siblings Bob, Bill, Norma, Sam and Allen.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Penrickton Center or 2nd Street Performing Arts Center in her name. Barb will be remembered for her kindness and generous spirit.
