Obituary of Henrietta King
May 7, 1931 - April 25, 2024
Henrietta Elizabeth King. Age 92 of Southgate.
Beloved wife of the late Walter L. King. Loving mother of Sharon King Waligora and Wayne King.
Preceded in death by parents Daniel and Victoria (Pietrzyk) Naimola, son Walter G. King, son-in-law Larry T. Waligora and many siblings.
Henrietta was a devout member of St. John United Church of Christ in Wyandotte. She loved her home, where she lived since Valentine's Day, 1958. In nice weather, her son Wayne would go with her for walks around the neighborhood. She loved flowers and taking care of flowering indoor plants -- waiting and watching, and then taking pleasure when they bloomed. Every weeknight she enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune at 7, always followed by a phone call with her daughter Sharon to discuss and critique Vanna White’s outfit of the day.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Memorial contributions are appreciated to St. John United Church of Christ, 2744 4th Street, Wyandotte, MI 48192.
Cremation will take place at The On-Site Crematory, located within Molnar Funeral Homes - Brownstown Chapel.
