Caroline Star Carson. Age 53 of Milan.

Beloved wife of James Carson. Loving mother of Melissa (Brad) Beerman. Dearest grandmother of Mabel. Dear daughter of Mary (Phillip) Gray and the late Fredrick Smalley. Cherished sister of Ashley (Daniel) Jonas. Loving aunt of Bennett. Also survived by mother-in-law Judy Carson, step-sister Kelley (Darrin) Young, Step-brother Phillip Gray, brother-in-laws Andrew (Jennifer) Carson and Sean (Susan) Carson and many extended family members. Preceded in death by her best friend Deborah Buchanan.

Caroline Star Carson passed away on January 21st, 2024 at 53 years old, after a long battle with cancer. Despite her immense strength and bravery, she passed peacefully in the early morning hours in the University of Michigan Hospital. 

She was born in California on June 10th, 1970. Her childhood was filled with love and trips to Disneyland. Instilling in her a love of Disney and all things Mickey Mouse. She passed this love on to her Granddaughter Mabel who she brought to the park three times to share her joy. She met her husband James working at Northwest airlines and they married soon after on March 15th, 2002. A day she would never forget even though James would try to trick her about the date. 

She leaves behind her husband James Carson, mother Mary Gray (spouse Phil Gray), sister Ashley Jonas (spouse Dan Jonas), daughter Melissa Beerman (spouse Bradley Beerman) and granddaughter Mabel Beerman age 18 months. She was preceded in death by her father Fredrick Smalley. She will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, and wife. 

A brief viewing will be held at Molnar Funeral Home, 14032 Northline Road, Southgate MI 48195 and the family will receive friends there from 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM, with a service at 6:00 PM.
