Obituary of Tab Cote
March 10, 1955 – December 29, 2023
Tab Allan Cote. Age 68 Riverview.
Tab was the oldest of 5 children and is survived by his siblings Tracey Cote Hines, Kimberly Arpi McMacken, Michael Arpi Jr. and Suzanna Cote Black. He leaves behind a loving family, his niece Leslie Graybill Affholter and many more additional nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Peggy Rybicki Cote, his parents Allan Cote, Peggy Dell Craig Cote and Patricia Kryska Cote.
Born in Dearborn in 1955, Tab was a graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School (Wyandotte, MI). He worked at US Steel for 40 years. Tab loved to play racquetball and golf with his close buddies. He loved cars and always had a fast sporty car in his garage. He had a wonderful sense of style and was fastidious in all that he did.
Tab loved his wife, Peggy, and he loved his family. He enjoyed working in his yard and beautifying his home. He could do just about any home project from building a backyard garage to installing a dry sauna in his basement. He loved to run, ride his bike and be healthy. One of his many passions was helping out his elderly neighbors. You could find him mowing their lawns, shoveling their driveways in the winter or bringing over a home cooked meal. He was such a loyal, giving and compassionate man.
He will be missed terribly, but there is much joy in knowing he is finally back home with his love, Peggy. Rest in Peace Tab, you are truly loved by all whose lives you touched.
