Grace Hoye. Age 75 of Brownstown.
Beloved wife of Paul Hoye. Loving mother of Scott (Pam) Hoye and Tonya (Jeff) Szafranski. Dearest grandmother of Chloe, Clarissa, Connor, Chase, Nolin, and Ty. Dear sister of Beth Coolidge, Jeanne (John) Matyas, and late PK (Val) Coolidge. Preceded in death by her parents Benjamin Paul and Evelyn Lucille Coolidge.
Grace was from a beautiful small town in up-state New York. She met Paul while he was stationed in New York with the Air Force. When his service ended, they married and moved to Michigan for Paul to resume his job with Ford Motor Company. Grace was a stay-at-home mom at first, then worked for Brownstown Township as a billing clerk. Her true joy began with grandkids and continued with winters in Florida after retirement. She made the best spaghetti, salad, brownies, and O’Henry Bars. She loved playing cards with friends, board games with the grandkids, the Balloon Fest in Battle Creek, and spending time with family.
Memorial contributions are appreciated to Alzheimer’s Association.
Funeral service and burial will take place in AuSable Forks, NY.
