Obituary of James Bryan Phillips
June 13, 1961 - July 30, 2023
James Bryan Phillips. 62 of Wyandotte.
Dear brother of Mary (Michael Buddie) Summers. Loving uncle of Raymond Summers. Also survived by his pets Shug, Bessie, and Alice, and nephew-dog Mr. Gray.
Preceded in death by parents Bryan and Marilyn Phillips; and grandparents James and Marion Knight.
James was a skilled hairdresser, “one of the best,” working out of the Rainforest Salon in Trenton. He was known as a jokester, a nut, and a smart-alec who loved to ham it up and mug for attention. Although he always had a quick, funny remark, James had a heart of gold. James could find humor in the silver lining of any situation, and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand and put others’ needs ahead of his own.
Memorial Contributions are appreciated to the American Diabetes Association.
