Frederick “Fred” E. Hilliker. Age 70 of Brownstown.
Frederick (Fred) Ellsworth Hilliker of Brownstown, Michigan was born on May 29, 1953, at Wyandotte Hospital, Michigan. Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Joan Hilliker and sisters, Dorothy and Debbie. Fred’s family growing up was large, with 11 children. Fred was married to Lee Ann (Dunnigan) Hilliker for 49 years, with their upcoming 50th wedding anniversary on June 22, 2023.
Fred was an US Army veteran, serving 1973-1976 as a helicopter mechanic with the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles.
Fred loved his family, his life, and his God, Jesus Christ. Fred was an active member of Apostolic Faith Downriver in Southgate, Michigan serving multiple roles to include Head Maintenance Tech, grounds keeping, and member of the Trustee Board.
Fred has three children – Fred Jr. (& Cheryl), Amy (& Josh) Berry, Phillip (& Angie). Fred has 21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Fred Jr’s children are Saul (& Alyssa), Eliana, Jonah, Jeremiah, Shoshanah, Nedavya, Cha’ya, and Ephraim. Amy’s children are Drue (& Amanda), Cal, Ethan (& Alyssa), Mia (& Justin), Anna, Jael, Libby, Abiah, Joshua, Toryn, Ehvie, and Maci. Phillip’s child is Phinn.
Fred was a long-time employee of General Motors until his retirement. Loving work, Fred never truly retired after leaving General Motors, working for Michigan Boilermakers Local 169, Detroit Boiler, and MESA Electric. Fred was also the owner of Knockabout Services LLC, a general contracting company.
The list of family members does not come close to those who loved Fred. He will be incredibly missed by all.
