Matilda “Billie” K. Dumas. Age 102 of Riverview.
Beloved wife of the late Leland Dumas. Loving mother of Carolyn Martin and Bonnie (John) MacLeod. Dearest grandmother Vicki (David) Wilson, Angela (William) Emkow, Heather MacLeod, Lindsay MacLeod, Amber (Christopher) Callahan, and John III “JT” (Jess) MacLeod. Great grandmother of Mia, Zachary, Matthew, Alayna, Gabriel, Julian, Andrew, Timothy, Saraiah, Micah, Isabel, Zoey, Corben, Taylor, and Isaiah. Matilda is, also, survived by her youngest brother George Regan. She is preceded in death by other siblings Joseph, Margaret, Susan, and Elizabeth.
Matilda enjoyed her time as a switchboard operator but gave it up to become a Proud Mother and Household Engineer. She was proud of her Hungarian heritage and it often showed in baking many excellent Hungarian desserts. Matilda was a member of the Eastern Star and Elba-Mar Boat Club. She was an avid reader and enjoyed completing crossword puzzles. Matilda especially enjoyed music and dancing. Dancing is how Matilda first met her beloved husband Leland.
