Family Tribute
My dad, William Hicks, was an amazing man. He attended William Jennings Bryan, Wayne State and Eastern Michigan Universities and was in the Naval reserves. He became a school teacher and taught at Taylor Public Schools for 36 years. He also tutored after school.
My dad had many interests over the years including fishing, reading, playing chess and binge watching Nascar.
Everyone loved my Dad because he was so kind, caring and compassionate. He also had a great sense of humor and the best smile ever!
My dad married my mom in 1962. They were married for 61 years.
My dad changed many lives for the better. He was definitely one of a kind. He loved his grandsons Blake, Justin and Nathan very much. Our family will miss him so much.
