Obituary of Wanda L. Sowards
March 21, 1941 – April 18, 2023
Wanda Lee Sowards. Age 82 of Woodhaven.
Wanda Lee King Sowards was born on March 21, 1941 to the late Lloyd and Lonnie Burke King. In later years, she married the love of her life, Jim Sowards. Together they lived in Woodhaven, Michigan.
Left to mourn her passing;
Husband—Jim Sowards
Daughters— Karen (Ezell) Braceful and Patty Schwartz
Son— Mark (Moira) Sowards
Grandson— Weston Schwartz
Brothers— John Edward (Linda) King and Gary Wayne King
Sisters— Hattie Faye (Elwood) Johnson, Mary Alice (Russ) Cole, and Georgene Newsome
As well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by;
Mother— Lonnie Burke King
Father— Lloyd King
Brothers— Lloyd Wayne King and Dennis Ray King
Sisters— Beulah Ann Hall and Doris Papazian
She retired as a supervisor at Monsanto and also held a supervisor position at both Square D in Lexington, Kentucky and Scott Paper Company in Michigan. She enjoyed hosting and being with her family and friends. Wanda was the epitome of loving like Christ. Our loss is truly, without doubt, Heaven’s gain.
