Frank S. Ungar. Age 93 of Ft. Myers, FL.
Beloved husband of Dee for 35 years. Loving father of Sue (Gary) Haskins, Sandy (Jack) Donahey, Jennifer (David) Hoff, Dr. Brent Ungar (Linda Telle) and Dr. Keith Ungar. Dearest step-father of Jeff (Jeanne) Plaisted and Kellie (Sean) Marquet. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his son Bruce, parents Anton and Rose and brothers Tony, George and Bill.

Frank S. Ungar, age 93 of Ft. Myers, Fl, passed away Sunday December 4, 2022 in the Sanctuary Grande, North Canton, OH. He was born April 15, 1929 in Lincoln Park, MI to the late Anton and Rose (Schnabl) Ungar. He was a graduate of Lincoln Park High School and attended Wayne State University where he was a Golden Glove boxer. Frank retired from the Lincoln Park Fire Department after 39 years of service and served 12 years as Fire Chief. He was a founding member of the K of C Lincoln Park Chapter and a member of the Rotary club. Frank enjoyed many sports, as a player, coach or enthusiastic cheerleader in the stands! Oh, the stories we could tell. His true passion was the love of his family. He certainly was proud of all their accomplishments. His big smile that could light up a room and welcoming heart will be missed by all.

Our History
John Molnar, Sr. opened the Detroit Hungarian Funeral Home, now the Molnar Funeral Homes, in 1923. The funeral home began in his home until relocating across the street to it's Delray location at 8623 Dearborn Avenue, in 1936. He had a strong work ethic and believed that you should never stop learning...
