Family Tribute ~
David J. Kurcz went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 9, 2022, after a two year struggle with cancer. Dave was 59 years old, and enjoyed nearly all of his 59 years, and mostly enjoyed the people in his life.
If you knew Dave, you knew that you were special to Dave. Dave LOVED sincerely.
Dave loved his wife, parents, stepmother, and Kurcz family, his Karp family, Datini, Kurcz, Grande and Karp cousins and aunts and uncles, and was closer than imaginable with all four of his grandparents. Dave loved all of his family and friends in a special way. For the last 10 years, Dave was led to become a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, and was an excellent and gifted therapist who loved every one of his patients and never forgot them – they had a special place in his heart, too. His heart was huge, and held every person in his life in a high regard. Every person was special.
Dave’s Catholic faith and relationship with his Savior Jesus Christ was important and central in his life. He prayed often and never wavered in trusting his life to the Lord.
Dave and his beloved wife of 27 years, Jill, who Dave called “Busha”, just enjoyed being together – “attached at the hip”. Their cabin in northern Michigan was their happy place and retreat where they truly enjoyed just each other and nature most trips.
Every person who knew Dave has a favorite “Davism” – funny things Dave said or did, or a story of something special Dave did for them. Dave had a heart for standing up for others and making people feel good. His big bear hugs will be missed by many.
