Obituary of Donald Yates Hatfield
July 9, 1930 – April 27, 2022
Donald Hatfield. Age 91 of Edina, Minnesota, formerly of Riverview.
Beloved husband of the late Betty Hatfield. Loving father of Pamela (David) Stauffer. Stepfather of Dennis Paulsen and the late Harold Paulsen. Dearest grandfather of Lauren Stauffer, Rachel Stauffer, Kyle (Megan) Paulsen, Alex Paulsen and Lance Paulsen. Also survived by daughter in-law Andrea Paulsen.
Family Tribute ~
Don Hatfield - the most loving, caring, funny, faith-filled man you could meet. So proud of his family and loved by so many. He always had a kind word, joke or fun story to share. We have great memories at the cottage with extended family and friends and countless other family get togethers.
Don was born in Kentucky and moved to Michigan at a young age. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps (which later became the Air Force) at the age of 17 and proudly served his country in WWll and the Korean War. He was very involved in the American Legion, serving two times as Commander at the Wyandotte Post.
After his military career, he spent time working in California before finding his way back to Michigan and drove for Jones Transfer for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty. They did everything together, including volunteering in the community and at Christ the King Lutheran Church, where he served as an usher for many years. They also loved to travel and had so much fun together! They were the most amazing dancers and we are certain they are now dancing together in heaven!

John Molnar, Sr. opened the Detroit Hungarian Funeral Home, now the Molnar Funeral Homes, in 1923.
