Obituary of Deborah Strimpel

November 28, 1961 – March 1, 2022

Deborah Strimpel.  Age 60 of Taylor.

Beloved wife of Mark Montroy. Loving mother of Christina (Roy) Newman, Angelo Carnell, Chris (Michelle) Strimpel II and Chelsea Montroy.  Dearest grandmother of Emily (Brian) Rodger, Roy Newman III, Austin Newman, Mallory Estepp, Alexis Waitz, Ambria Broussard and Zayden Montroy.  Great grandmother of Jackson Kortas.  Dear daughter of James Abell.  Sister of Julia Bishop and Danny Abell.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as her furbabies.  Preceded in death by mother Juanita and siblings David and Donna.  

Family Tribute ~

Debbie had many passions in life.  She loved going to the beach and especially loved to lay in the sun.  Any time it was over 70 degrees, she usually could be found laying out in the backyard on the lounge.  If anyone were to come to ask her something while she was laying out in the backyard she would always say "You're blocking my sun!" 

She also enjoyed camping -- with family and many times she would even go alone.  Debbie was known as a free spirit and would sometimes just jump into her truck and head to Kentucky to visit family and friends.  Many times, she wouldn't even tell anyone that she was leaving. 

She loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She never missed one of her kid's or grandkid's events, such as sports, graduations, or birthdays. While her kids were growing up, she coached their softball leagues. For a while, she was in a pool league with her daughter, Christina.  

Debbie loved animals and all of her pets were rescues. She greatly enjoyed walking the dogs. Faith was something very important to her. She was a parishioner at Victory Baptist Church in Taylor, Michigan, and was deeply involved in the church. She will be remembered as being positive and would always say "God has a plan."
