Obituary of Jessica Lorraine Newstead

June 5, 1975 – November 6, 2021

Jessica Lorraine Newstead. Age 46 of Southgate.
 
Beloved wife of Jasson Newstead.  Loving mother of Destiny, Jayson and Madalyn.  Dearest grandmother of Bryson, Jamal and Julia.  Cherished daughter of David and Elizabeth.  Dear sister of Geanice, Brandie (Jeff) and Jamie (Scott).
 
Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Family Tributes

I will always remember Jess for her wonderful communication skills LOL! For those that knew her best, knows She was either yelling or she had jokes and made you laugh. Jessie never held back with her thoughts and feelings; she said what she needed to say, IF she felt bad afterward, which she often did, she would apologize because she also had a huge heart. Jess made sure to stay in touch with family and friends so if you got a random text or call from her, she loved you! Her love for her husband, kids, and grandkids was without question, unconditional! As her sister, I will miss everything about her. Even though Jessica is no longer with us physically, I look at her kids and grandkids and see her inside them. - Brandie

What I’m going to miss the most about my sister is her contagious laugh and her ability to make anyone smile all the time, there was never a dull or boring moment when she was around. I will miss her reaching out to us sisters to plan crafts or an outing for mom & dad or just a spa day with sisters. She truly was and still is the glue that will hold our family together. She may not be here in person but her spirit lives within us all. My sister Jessie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and just an overall beautiful person inside and out with a heart made of gold. Her spirit is in heaven, but her love is here all around us. I love you, Jessie, I can’t wait to see you again in heaven. - Jamie

My sister Jessie, Wow there are so many things. First Jessie hated noise like... I mean really hated it! Lol..but she was the one always yelling and screaming. Sometimes when she would get mad at me ...she would start a fight and I would laugh at her ..it would make her so mad.. that her nose would flair out and flap back and forth... I would say to her ..what are you going to do you little bull? Then she would literally charge me.  I used to imagine her running like the bull on Bugs Bunny...Lol.. She was stubborn, controlling Opinionated, Ruthless, and somewhat of a know it all at times. And oh definitely a little crazy! Lol. But in all seriousness, my sister was my best friend. That I can't imagine going through this world without. She had the biggest heart of anyone I know. She loved her family with her whole being..she always had my back when I needed her and even sometimes when not needed.. all because she loved so hard. She was the family glue the planner always trying to get us together...I am so going to miss her. She will forever be in my heart ❤. - Geanice

Cremation will take place at The On-Site Crematory located within the Molnar Funeral Homes - Brownstown Chapel.

Memorial contributions to her children would be greatly appreciated.
