Obituary of Dolores McLain
October 19, 1928 – August 7, 2021
Dolores McLain (Secco)
Preceded in death by Patrick her loving husband of 54 years with whom she created a beautiful family and home.
Wonderful Mom to Patricia Benore, Robert (Doreen), Colleen Parisot (Donald), Linda Riling (Daniel), Mark (Terri) and Joanne Ryan (Dennis). Exceptional grandmother of six and joyful Nona of twelve along with Hamman Street mom and grandma to so many that loved her as their own.
Dolores was the sweet lady who was there for everybody. She had a rare warm and selfless nature. She was the keeper of secrets, the healer of hearts, the baker of the cookies, the one holding everyone’s hand or pulling their loose tooth, and the strong glue of the family and her neighborhood.
She most enjoyed taking care of her family and her home and showing her love to anyone who was lucky enough with her fantastic cooking. She enjoyed reading trashy novels, embroidering pillowcases for everyone, spending time with her family and in her later years soaking up the sunshine.
She was a happy, funny, energetic, beautiful soul who blessed so many lives especially the ones lucky enough to call her mom.
Memorial contributions are appreciated to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Family request that EVERYONE please wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
