Karen A. White.  Age 82 of Redford.

Beloved best friend and soulmate of Diane Morgan. Loving mother of Judi (Dany) Beaupre, Lynn (Christopher) Sheehan, Kathryn (Walter) Bates and Debra (Michael) Dickerson.  Dearest grandmother of Nichole (Chuck) Roberts, Dany (Mary) Beaupre, Logan (Caitlin) Sheehan, Christopher (Kevin) Joseph, Joshua (Lacey) Truesdell, Paige Sheehan, Katelyn (Brian) Horger, Jordan Dickerson and Shawn Dickerson; and great grandmother of Gabriella, Chase, Jocelyn, Cullen, Henry, Joseph and Josette.  Dear aunt of Dan Orgeck. Preceded in death by parents, James and Virginia Wilkinson.

Karen was born in Ann Arbor, raised in Belleville and Lincoln Park, lived in Allen Park and Taylor, Detroit and Redford. Karen played first chair clarinet with the Detroit Women’s Symphony in her teens and 20’s. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Wayne State University in her 40’s. She considered her work as a psycho-social worker with substance and other abusers as a Call to Lay Ministry. She loved her many clients with the love of Christ. However, this never held her back from challenging them. She was kind and inclusive but forthright and honest with all she met. She was a leader at St. Michael’s, Lincoln Park, and Grace, Southgate, Episcopal Churches. Through various adversities in life, she was firm in her love and commitment to the importance of family.

Cremation will take place at The On-Site Crematory located within the Molnar Funeral Homes - Brownstown Chapel.
