Life Story

Karen Elliott was loved deeply by her family and friends. Her grandkids especially held a special place in her heart. She loved watching anything they did; baseball, dance, cheer, football, softball, gymnastics. Also, in May of last year, she was elated to meet her 10th grandchild. She always made sure to keep on top of new ways to communicate with her grandchildren and often bought them “the techy gifts.”

Karen enjoyed going shopping and drinking iced capps with her girls. She also loved all kinds of flowers, watching birds play in the birdbath, and picking veggies in her garden. As a dog mom, she cared so much for her boston terriers, and was devastated when she lost her Layla and Tessa.

Kenneth, her husband, was the love of her life. She enjoyed hanging out with him and was happy to do anything with him. They had five children together that she would have done anything for. She was always there to pick up the phone for her kids as well as her siblings. Her smile was always so big when she would get a visit or a phone call from her family.

Karen was a woman of many hobbies. She had a collection of angels and knick-knacks and it was common to get sent home with one of the angels in her collection. Her family would tell you she had a knack for doing cross-stitching. Cooking was also something she loved to do. She would make biscuits and gravy with apples, enjoyed using her air fryer, canned and jarred green beans with Kenneth, and she would always have a full stash of travel snacks for road trips when her kids were young.

Her helpful nature made it so that there was never enough she could be doing for anyone, but she loved going above and beyond for everyone. She embodied joy itself and she spread it to all of those who were around her.

Karen was full of laughter and joy and her memory will live on in the hearts of many.
