Obituary of Paul M. Rossi Jr.

June 13, 1991 – May 28, 2021

Paul M. Rossi Jr. “Lil Paul”.  Age 29 of Riverview.

Beloved son of Paul Rossi Sr. and Karen (the late Jay) Sharpes. Loving brother of Matthew Rossi, William “Billy” Abraham Jr., Miranda Sharpes, Stevie Shepherd and Kateland Shepherd. Dearest grandson of Pete (the late Linda) Rossi and Richard (Linda) Perry. Dear nephew of Guy (Tahirih) Rossi, Eric Perry, Paul Perry, Jerome Perry and Rich Routheaux. Also survived by step-mother Dena Lux, many aunts, cousins and friends.

Life Story

Growing up Paul was always very bubbly and energetic. From as early as 5 years old he loved to sing the song "Don't Take the Girl" by Tim McGraw, much to the joy of those who heard. 

Paul was a great athlete as well as very competitive and was active in baseball and hockey. Throughout baseball, he enjoyed being able to play alongside his brothers on the same tier. For such a small kid, he had great power when at-bat. Paul thought it was really funny when he first started playing baseball because everybody confused his dad as his brother. While not actively playing sports, Paul loved watching hockey and various baseball teams including All-Star Teams. He also was an avid skateboarder, loved street hockey, and was a huge fan of video games. 

Paul received his high school diploma from Southgate Asher. Paul loved to cook, and those he fed would have agreed. Although he worked for Wyandotte DPW, he found his love for preparing meals led him to employment where he could utilize his talents. You could find Paul spending time with his family, riding bikes with his little sister, or hanging out with his friends. He also loved to watch movies, so you could usually catch him playing one on his phone. One of his favorite places to go was grandpa and grandma Rossi's lakehouse. 

He was very outspoken and would never back down from anyone or anything. With his cocky nature, Paul was a social butterfly and loved to be the center of attention. From a very young age, he was very confident with the women and was known for being quite the ladies' man. He enjoyed making people laugh. No matter what kind of mood he was in, he always had a funny or sarcastic remark to make. Paul had the biggest heart for his family, would constantly impress those around him, and always had a smile on his face.
