Duane Wilson. Age 71 of Wyandotte.
Beloved husband of Kathleen Wilson for 53 years. Loving father of Rebecca (Shawn) Simpson and Jeffrey Wilson. Dearest grandfather of Noah Mendez, Zoey Simpson and Mayzie Simpson. Dear brother of Wanda Golab and the late Linda Daniel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Duane's honor are appreciated to Wyandotte Animal Group.

Duane Wilson of Wyandotte, MI age 71 passed away on March 15, 2021. Duane is survived by his best friend and wife of 53 years, Kathleen Wilson; his daughter Rebecca (Shawn) Simpson; his son Jeffrey Wilson; his grandchildren Noah Mendez, Zoey Simpson and Mayzie Simpson; his sister Wanda Golab. Duane is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd A. and Nadine Wilson and his younger sister Linda Daniel.
Duane was born on March 25, 1949 in Wyandotte. He graduated from Lincoln Park High School and attended Henry Ford Community College graduating with an Electrical and Welding degree. Duane retired from U.S. Steel after 30 years of service. He enjoyed reading daily, playing the bass guitar and spending time with his family. He enjoyed his years of playing music with his friends. Duane was always a light hearted funny guy seeing the good in all things. He was a kind and genuine person who was always taking care of everyone and everything. When he asked how you were, he really wanted to know how you were doing. The family will always cherish the memories of camping, fishing, boating, bike rides, playing music and so many wonderful times with Duane. He will live on through the lessons he has taught us all and through the remembrance of his smile, laughter and all the memories we have with him. He was truthfully our rock and the best husband, father and grandpa anyone could ever ask for.
