Margaret B. Maciejewski. Age 97 of Southgate.
Margaret passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 5, 2021. Loved by many, she will be dearly missed.
Margaret is survived by beloved daughter Georgette (the late Stanley) Afek and cherished granddaughters Kristin (James) Stewart and Kerri Perry. Loving great-grandmother to Ian and Alex Stewart and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Martin & Helen Mackowski, four sisters (Virginia, Agnes, Florence, Elizabeth) and three brothers (Fr. Richard, SJ; Martin; Edward).
Margaret was born and raised in Detroit and graduated from Pershing HS. She worked for Detroit Macomb Hospital’s medical billing department for over 20 years. In retirement, Margaret enjoyed traveling across Michigan and to California, Hawaii, Alaska and the Holy Land. Her hobbies included quilting, pinochle, crossword puzzles, bingo, baking and spending time with family.
Margaret was generous, kind-hearted, courageous, adventurous, humorous and compassionate.
Memorial mass offerings in Margaret’s name are preferred and appreciated.
