Family Tribute

Dianne Rochelle Ring was born in Wyandotte, MI and loved her hometown.

Diane was a woman of strong faith.  She was a member of Our Lady of The Woods for 40 years.  She was an active member of Christian Women group, prayer group and a founder of the Singles Group at church.  Diane met her beloved companion of 27 years Jack through that group.  Her favorite bible verse was Mark 10:13-16 and favorite Saint was Saint Francis of Assisi.

We will cherish forever the wonderful memories of our many times we spent together at Jack’s Lake House, meals shared, pontoon boat rides, bonfires…  Our trips to Mackinac Island, Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes.  She would often say “savor the moment!”

Dianne was a kind, gentle soul.  She had a special place in her heart for animals.  She made sure her birdfeeders were always full!  She was our ROCK and always there for us.  We will fondly remember her delicious Italian soup, pea soup on New Year’s Day and her famous from scratch fruit cake with ingredients she bought from Eastern Market in Detroit.

Diane loved her job as a bus driver.  She worked for the Trenton Public Schools for 29 years.  The teachers, coaches and kids all loved and respected her so much.  She received the “Apple Award” for her dedication and exemplary service to the school district and the students.

Some of her favorite pastimes were to go to Bishop Park to sit by the water and watch the boats as well as attend her grandchildren’s activities such as hockey games, skating competitions, tennis matches, dance recitals, ice shows and music concerts.  Elizabeth Park in Trenton was her favorite place these last few months to sit by the water and feed the geese.
