Obituary of Samantha C. Duplessie

July 27, 1964 – January 13, 2021

Samantha C. Duplessie.  Age 56 of Lincoln Park.

Beloved wife of Michael Duplessie.  Loving mother of Amanda Duplessie and John Duplessie.  Dearest grandmother of Kaydence Duplessie.  Dear sister of Tracy (Lee) McGrath and Lorie (Frank) Pignanelli.

Family Tribute

Samantha was a beautiful person both inside and out. She was a person of great empathy and compassion, doing anything she could for those in need. The only time Sam was alone in her own world was when she was driving her car, and oh how she loved that car! She used all of her mechanical know how to keep it running in top condition. Taking great pride in it by racing it, or showing it off for everyone to gawk at. She loved all her toys. Sam was also an incredibly talented artist. She once built a functioning drag car for her granddaughter out of PVC piping and cardboard.

She was the center of gravity for her family, her open doors and warm welcoming home brought in all kinds of unique people. She was also a bonus mom to a lot of her kids’ friends. She was always there when you needed her and would be what you needed her to be at the time, be it friend, mom, therapist, doctor, etc. She even welcomed animals of all shapes and sizes and had rehabilitated a countless number of them, most rescued off of the street. Samantha wore her heart on her sleeve and was always true to herself. She was an amazing woman and would always fight for those she loved. She touched the hearts of so many and will be deeply missed by all of them.

Cremation will take place at The On-Site Crematory located within the Molnar Funeral Homes - Brownstown Chapel.
