Obituary of Irene John

April 4, 1939 – January 10, 2021

Irene John.  Age 81 of Brownstown.

Beloved wife of the late Arthur John.  Loving mother of Jeffrey (Deana) John and the late Christopher Allen John.  Dearest grandmother of Terrence and Michael.  Great grandmother of Mila.  Dear sister of Betty (the late James) Lint.  Also survived by her nephew Rev. Paul (Patty) Lint, and niece  Amy (Tom) Bromwell.

Family Tribute
Irene John was born on April 4th, 1939, in Elm Grove, PA to Olive and Harold Grimm. She lived there until she met the love of her life, Arthur W. John while working at Anchor Hocking Glass Co. They married on December 3, 1965, and shared 51 wonderful years together. She was a caring and loving mother to Christopher Allen and Jeffrey David. 

Irene claimed to be quiet and shy, although you wouldn’t know it based on the outpouring of support from friends and family over the past year. She loved shopping, movies, and going out to eat, but not the actual act, rather the opportunity to spend time with those she loved. Irene took pride in how she dressed, never looking a day over 59. She was a sports fan and enjoyed watching the Steelers play football on Sundays with her family. 

Irene would like to be remembered as someone who loved God, her family, and the many friendships she developed over the years. We will remember her as a loving wife, mother, sister, and Christian, whose life made this world a better place.
