Family Tribute
If suddenly we knew we were about to meet the end
Would we stop to thank God for being our friend?
If suddenly we found there’d be life no more
Would we open our hearts to those who are poor?
If suddenly we lost our sight to see,
Would we stop to say “Oh God” why me?
If suddenly we turned gray and old
Would we be ungrateful if we had no one to hold?
If suddenly the sky lit up and angels came today,
Would we be ready to go or ask to let us stay?
If suddenly everything went away,
Would we finally get on our knees and pray?
