Obituary of Giuse Hưng Nguyễn
Beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
He is survived by: his wife, Dung Vu, his daughters, Rosie and Roxanne, his parents Tai Nguyen and Coc Vu, his brothers Hieu, Hau, and Kien, his sisters, Tu, Luong, Tammy, Dolly, and Nammy, and a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Hưng Vu Trung Nguyen was born in Vietnam as the sixth child of nine siblings. He immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 11 years old. Here he grew up in Brownstown, Michigan and graduated from Woodhaven High School. Afterward, he graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Computer Science and spent most of his career in that field. He later went back to school and obtained a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Wayne State University in 2017.
Hưng and Dung were married in June of 2010 and had two kids together, Rosie age 7, and Roxie age 1. Hung met Dung in the church choir and together they shared a deep love for God and one another. He very much enjoyed singing worship songs, taking his family on little trips, recording unboxing videos on YouTube with Rosie, and making bubbles with Roxie
He loved photography, singing karaoke, dancing, baking birthday cakes, and cracking corny jokes with his kids and family who all miss him dearly. He very much enjoyed technology and home improvement which he said he learned all from watching YouTube videos. He was able to capture so many memories for other people in his photos and literally built rooms filled with memories in his own home and for his loved one's homes.
He will be remembered most for his kind and innocent soul, the laughter he brought to everyone around him, and his strong Catholic faith.
A gathering will be held and the services will be live-streamed. The family encourages anyone who wishes to participate to please do so. Please click the following link to be directed to the live stream services:
