Obituary of Betty E. Burleson

January 14, 1938 – August 11, 2020

Betty "Boots" Burleson.  Age 82 of Wyandotte and Brownstown.

Beloved wife of the late Roland Gene Burleson.  Loving mother of Robert L. (Rhonda) Burleson, Ronald D. Burleson, Jean Marie Burleson-Feigel and Jean Ellen McGowen.  Dear sister of James Wambergue, the late Alice McGowen and the late Nancy Hunley.  Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great-nieces and great great-nephews.

FAMILY TRIBUTE

As a young mother, Betty made her own clothes with her love of sewing. Betty also made blankets and learned to crochet, which became her passion. Whenever she had free time she would be crocheting, making everything from blankets to Christmas ornaments. She enjoyed a variety of arts and crafts and made many holiday decorations.

Betty liked her house plants and took pride in the way they looked. She also landscaped her yard and always had a garden, still having a few plants until the day she passed. 

She would like to be remembered as a strong and powerful woman with a big heart. She would help us in time of need, but also give us a piece of her mind as to where we went wrong to need the help (as if we didn’t know, haha). She always meant well, as it came from the heart. 

Betty was a good woman and a good mother. She always spoke her mind and just wanted everything to be right for everyone. She had an outgoing personality and fun to be around. Everyone enjoyed her company, she always tried to make everyone laugh. She was very well-liked and loved by so many.
