Obituary of Barbara Leininger
July 29, 1938 – August 8, 2020
Barbara Leininger. Age 82 of Southgate.
Beloved wife of James Leininger for over 61 years. Loving mother of Cheryl Rich, Linda (Jeff) Harrison and Scott (Mary) Leininger. Dearest grandmother of Dan Harrison, Alex Harrison, Joe Leininger, Megan Leininger, Brandon Balluff and Frances Balluff. Dear sister of Lois Wirtz. Preceded in death by parents John and Lucille Moore.
Barb spent 45 years teaching Religious Education for children and adults. She was the Director of Religious Education (D.R.E) at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Wyandotte. She also taught 5 years in the RCIA program. She taught catechist certification classes at various parishes in the Archdiocese for several years.
She loved people and was a “flaming extrovert” as one of the teachers called her.
Private Family Services will be held.
