Obituary of Henry 'Hank' N. Russell III
May 23, 1943 – July 22, 2020
Henry N. Russell III (Hank). Age 77 of Grosse Ile.
Beloved husband of Ellen Russell. Loving father of Paige (Eric) Miller, Yvonne (Mark) Havens and Andrea (Brad) Bringman. Dearest grandfather of Megan, Andy (Jordan), Kristen (Ben), David, Lauren, Alex and Ryan. Great grandfather of Ava and Addison. Dear brother of Claudia (Kenn) Gordon, Dr. William (Lynn) Russell, Robert (Katherine) Russell and Barbara (Tom) Russell-Willett. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Hank was an avid nature lover and photographer, enjoying almost daily visits to the Metropark to capture photos of the abundant wildlife and natural beauty. He loved to travel, visiting many fascinating places, including the Galápagos Islands and Iceland. Hank was a teacher for the Gibraltar school district for nearly 30 years. He cherished his family and always put them first.
Cremation will take place at The On-Site Crematory located within the Molnar Funeral Homes - Brownstown Chapel.
Due to Covid-19 concerns, the family will be holding a small, private memorial service at the Lake Erie Metropark where Hank took so many of his beautiful photos. Friends and family are encouraged to share their memories and regards below
