Obituary of Jessie Lee Riddle

July 16, 1926-July 11, 2020

Jessie Lee Riddle. Age 93 of Southgate.

Beloved wife of the late Charles Riddle.  Loving mother of Ocie (Gregory) Ravetto, Connie (James) Sieloff, and Lana (Ric) McCord.  Dearest Grandmother of Derek Piquard, Amee Ravetto, Kori (Mike) Spigoda, Jamie (Mindy) Sieloff, Jason (Susan) Sieloff, Joshua (Nora) McCord, Caleb (Jaime) McCord, and Jared McCord.  Also survived by 13 Great grandchildren, 2 Great great grandchildren, and 1 Great great grandchild on the way.

Family Tribute

Jessie loved to provide for her family, friends and for her country, She was a stay at home mother and wife who loved to take care of her three daughters and any other family member that needed her. Throughout her marriage, she moved her mother, her father-in-law, and her cousin in to give up space in her 1,200 sq ft home and care for them. She was an excellent seamstress and utilized her skills by making things for her loved ones. She made parachutes for the United States soldiers in World War II. She made clothes for her girls, her mother, her husband Charles, and herself.

She always loved to play games with her grandkids, like dots and crossword puzzles. She carried these hobbies on to her later years where she enjoyed playing bingo with her friends at the assisted living home she lived at for 7 years. Jessie had a love/hate relationship with her “Detroit Tigers”. Loved to watch them win but despised when they would go on a losing streak and was sure to remind anyone if they brought the Tigers up in conversation.
