December 29, 1929 – April 21, 2020
Betty Jane Heise. Age 90 of Southgate.
Betty Heise, a longtime resident of Southgate, MI, died the morning of Tuesday, April 21 in hospice care at Rivergate Health Care Center.
Born in 1929 in Detroit, MI, Betty was a mother to Steven and Paul Heise and wife to the late Lawrence Heise. She was a beloved mother, wife, and friend to those who knew her. Her impeccable spirit and how strong she was in her faith, was truly remarkable. As a strong and loving mother, Betty raised her two boys after her husband died in 1968 and was there for her family until her final breath. Words cannot describe how deeply Betty cared for all those around her.
Betty loved spending time with her family, reading, gardening, and her church, Christ The King Lutheran in Southgate, MI. She also enjoyed visiting with her neighbors and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Steven (Suzanne) Heise and Paul (Holly) Heise, her nephew, Raymond Howard, and her two grandchildren, Matthew Heise and Caroline Heise.
Memorial contributions are appreciated to Christ The King Lutheran Church, 16700 Pennsylvania Road, Southgate, MI 48195 or the Michigan Humane Society, Administrative Offices, 30300 Telegraph Road, Suite 220, Bingham Farms, MI 48025 – 4507.
