Charles J. Grobbel. Age 59 of Allen Park.
"Charlie" was born May 6, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a long-time employee of the Detroit Wastewater Treatment Plant. Beloved father of Carolyn (Chris) Goodwin, loving brother of Michael (Kathy), Mark (Michele), Susan (Doug) Davidson. Loving uncle of Erin, Phillip, Matthew (Hannah) Davidson and Jacob (Hayley). Survived by his former wife, Jenny Carol Goodwin Grobbel. Preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Virginia (Hiller) Grobbel.
Because of the health emergency restrictions imposed by the state, a private visitation of immediate family only will be held at the Thon Funeral Home, 2760 Biddle Ave, Wyandotte, MI 48192 on Monday, March 23rd.
A memorial service will be held at the CHRISTfamily Church, 18506 Telegraph, Brownstown Twp, MI, at a later date. Interment of his ashes will take place at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI on a date to be announced.
