FAMILY TRIBUTE

Mom always dreamed about the future. She would lay in bed watching TV with her little boy running her fingers through his hair and wondering out loud big questions. I wonder who you will marry? Do you think she lives nearby? Have you already met her? How many kids will you have? Will you have a little girl? Where will you work? Will you move away from me? Will I live with you when I am old?

She was curious and excited to see how his life would take shape with her loving guidance. She molded that little boy into the son, husband, and father that I became, and I will be forever grateful.

I love you,

-Joey-

Mom,

I love and miss you so much, I had the best childhood anyone could ask for.  You always had everything taken care of no matter what it was. From booking flights and planning vacation arrangements to filling the table with food family and laughs on holidays. You were the glue that held us all together.

I'm going to miss walking back from the gas station and you sitting on the porch asking what I bought. I'm going to miss being asked about grand babies every time we were together.  I'm going to miss early morning shelling at Anna Maria.  Most of all, I'm gonna miss just coming over and spending an afternoon hanging out, sharing stories and getting shushed when Jeopardy came back from commercial.

From the bottom of my broken heart, I will always love you!

When I was a baby, Mom wrote,

“I feel that my life will be mostly over by the time you are living yours. I look at you like you are the future.”

With the love of a new relationship, the birth of my son, and the start of my career, it pains me that she was right. Although she only witnessed the beginning, I know she’ll stay for the end, watching over me.

I love you Mom,

-Bradley-
