Family Tribute ~
Stacie Jean Daugherty, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully, leaving a legacy of love, kindness and care for those she held dear. Born in California, Stacie’s life was defined by her compassion, whether she was nurturing animals or offering wise advice to those in need.
Stacie was a graduate of Lincoln Park High School, where she stood out as a gifted athlete. In her early years, she loved running and excelled in track, winning awards that reflected her competitive spirit and determination. Later in life, Stacie took great pride in living on a farm with her husband, Jim, where she cared for orphaned and injured animals, helping them thrive. Her compassion for animals was as boundless as her love for her family.
One of Stacie’s most beloved qualities was her devotion to her family. She found comfort and happiness in spending time with her loved ones, sitting around the table with a warm cup of coffee, gossiping and sharing her greatest life lessons. Her unconditional love for her family was evident in everything she did. Stacie’s warmth, humor and the wisdom she imparted will be deeply missed.
Her family and friends will forever cherish her loving advice, often accompanied by her signature farewell: "Watch for deer" — a simple yet heartfelt reminder of her constant care and concern. Stacie’s legacy will live on through the many lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and friends who will carry her memory with love and gratitude.
Rest in peace, Stacie. You will be missed more than words can express.
