Obituary of Betty Jean Hatfield
January 25, 1931 – March 11, 2018
Betty J. Hatfield, Age 87 of Riverview.
Beloved wife of Donald Hatfield. Loving mother of Dennis Paulsen, Pamela (David) Stauffer and the late Harold Paulsen. Mother in law of Andrea Paulsen. Also survived by 7 grandchildren.
FAMILY TRIBUTE
Betty Hatfield - the most loving, caring, faith-filled soul one could ever meet. She grew up with loving parents, two great sisters and had plenty of fun tales to tell. Many of them included summer fun days at the cottage, always packed with extended family. And family was always her priority. She took great care of those she loved - especially her Donald (Duck), children and grandchildren.
Betty & Don loved to travel. They were inseparable and the best of friends. So many comment on how their marriage was a testimony to true love.
The bulk of her career was spent as the Court Administrator at the District Court in Riverview. She enjoyed her work and her colleagues; keeping in touch with many long into retirement.
She was a faithful member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, serving on more committees than we can count. While going to church each week was an excellent example, the beauty of her faith was demonstrated by the day-to-day living out of her faith - always patient, loving and kind. While those of us that remain will deeply miss her, Jesus must be so happy to have her home!
Memorials appreciated to Christ the King Lutheran Church, 15600 Trenton Road, Southgate.
