Obituary of Norma E. Sewell

February 23, 1931 - February 6, 2018

Norma E. Sewell.  Age 86 of Wyandotte.

Beloved wife of the late Kirk Sewell.  Loving mother of Kirk (Christine) Sewell, Maryanna (Richard) Nadolski and Vicky (John) Fuerst.  Dear sister of Tibertius Schlaich and the late Donald and Alice.  Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

FAMILY TRIBUTE

Norma E. Sewell enjoyed competitive roller skating in her youth and it is how she met her husband, Kirk Sewell. As an adult, she passed her love and passion for roller skating onto her children. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker and raised her three children in loving home.

Norma was a member of OLS Parish and was also active at Wyandotte co-op. She lived there for 17 years and made many wonderful friends and enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She will always be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Norma was a faithful Catholic at Divine Mercy and OL of Perpetual Help. She was strong willed with a great sense of humor. Her hobbies and interests including reading, watching ETWN, playing bingo and cards usually with a good cup of hot tea in hand. Norma enjoyed Sunday mass followed by lunch out with her family. Every Monday she would take a trip to the casino. She also had a talent for the accordion and sketching portraits.

We believe she would have liked to been remembered for her Catholic faith, being a good wife, mother and friend. We will remember her the most for how at Christmas time, she would paint beautiful Christmas scenes that filled the big picture window. She loved teasing Kirk and leaving inappropriate words on his daily crossword puzzle. Norma will be greatly missed by all.
